"My father Frederick Christian Dinkel Jr., was working in West Africa as a civilian contractor with McDonnel Douglas Corporation when he was given a field commission in the US Navy around 1942. He left the Navy in 1953 as a Chief Petty Officer, the same year his mother died. My first memory of meeting him was when he came to visit us in the early 1950's in uniform--made a good impression. He was not a part of my life until 1970 when, interestingly enough, I was working as a contractor with Westinghouse on a project for the US Navy in San Diego. I was 26. He got to know his grandchildren before he passed away in 1979." Son Ron Dinkel

Voces de Santa Fe honors your memory. Rest in peace.
